I don’t have a problem with the original brainstorming or picking a topic, its once I have picked a topic I start to struggle. I feel the introduction and first paragraph of my paper are normally the strongest parts of my paper, but once you get to the conclusion-- it sucks. It is extremely common for me to go off topic in a paper. I can be indecisive, so when I’m brainstorming and making lists on what I could potentially write about it I unintentionally make the list broad., So when I do get to the parts of my papers where I start to run thin, I do have a back-up. Sometimes it works other times it makes it worse because my ideas are so scattered. I’m also not the most creative person, so when I’m brainstorming on a topic I tend to just look at the big picture rather than ways to enhance the big picture.
