It is important to have multiple types of sources, and places the sources came from. This can make it difficult to determine the credibility of a source when you are just using Google. When we went to Dirac Science Library, we were presented with a resource with over 450 databases that provide publications that are verified for credibility on any topic. According to the McGraw-Hill Handbook, there are many indicators or a credible and scholarly source which is important for when we are writing our research papers. A few ways you can determine if a source is credible or not is: if the source is online, it has a URL that ends in .edu or .org, if they are published by an individual who has a specialized degree in the field, and/ or if they are peer reviewed by other scholars in that same field.
