Project Three: Reflection

Since I wrote about Dance Marathon, which was a generally broad topic, it easy to remix into different genres to distribute into my community. As the Greek Relations Chair and Dance Marathon Delegate for my sorority for the 2017-2018 school year I decided one of the easiest ways to ensure all of the girls were up to date on all things Dance Marathon was to create a Dance Marathon page for the girls to join. On this page I also put the two other genres I created, a “save the date” card and a piktochart. The Save the Date card had a black and white picture of the total amount of money raised from FSU’ Dance Marathon in the background and all text on the card was in color to make all the important information stand out more. The piktpchart was my favorite genre to remix because I felt it was not only beneficial to girls in the sorority, but also anyone who wanted or needed information on what Dance Marathon is, what the beneficiaries do with the money raised and how people can get involved. With all the recourses Dance Marathon has and the amount of information they put out on the event it can be difficult for freshman, or people who have never participated before to feel overwhelmed, so by condensing the information I was hoping to avoid confusion with newcomers.
