Determining which of the varieties of genre to incorporate in different situations have significant impacts on the expectations of an audience. Over time, even though they are constantly changing, classifying these compositions make it easier for the audience to relate and enjoy. While they may be “classified” in the same category, each individual may have a different way of composing. For example, some people are much more artistic and creative than others; therefore, their compositions have the potential to be more complex. This is why genre is constantly changing. This is helpful for the audience because the type of genre is generally easy to pin-point, so the audience always knows what they are getting into when invested in a composition.
